Cookies

We use cookies on our website. These are small files that your browser automatically creates and stores on your device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our site. Cookies do not cause any harm to your device and do not contain viruses, trojans, or other harmful software.

The cookie stores information that is associated with the specific device being used. However, this does not mean that we can immediately identify you based on this information.

The use of cookies serves, on the one hand, to make the use of our services more pleasant for you. For this purpose, we use so-called session cookies to recognize that you have already visited individual pages of our website. These cookies are automatically deleted when you leave our site.

Furthermore, we also use temporary cookies to optimize user-friendliness. These are stored on your device for a specified period. If you visit our site again to use our services, it will automatically recognize that you have already visited our website and remember the inputs and settings you made, so you do not have to re-enter them.

On the other hand, we use cookies to statistically analyze the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offerings (see section 5). These cookies allow us to automatically recognize, during a subsequent visit to our website, that you have previously visited us. Such cookies are automatically deleted after a defined period.

Analysis and Tracking Tools

The tracking measures listed below and used by us are carried out based on Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR/DSG. The tracking measures used aim to ensure a needs-based design and continuous optimization of our website. Furthermore, we use the tracking measures to statistically analyze the use of our website and evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offerings. These interests are considered legitimate within the meaning of the above-mentioned provision.

The respective purposes of data processing and categories of data can be found in the detailed information on the corresponding tracking tools below.

Google Analytics

For the purpose of needs-based design and continuous optimization of our pages, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (https://www.google.com/intl/en/about/) (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; hereinafter referred to as 'Google'). In this context, pseudonymized usage profiles are created, and cookies (see section 4) are used. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website, such as

  • Browser type/version,

  • operating system used,

  • referrer URL (the previously visited page),

  • hostname of the accessing computer (IP address),

  • time of the server request

are transmitted to a server in the USA and stored there by Google. The information is used to evaluate the use of the website, compile reports on website activities, and provide other services related to website and internet usage for market research and needs-based design of these web pages. This information may also be transferred to third parties if required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Under no circumstances will your IP address be merged with other data from Google. The IP addresses are anonymized, so an association is not possible (IP masking).

You can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case, you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent.

You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing a browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en).

Alternatively to the browser add-on, especially for browsers on mobile devices, you can also prevent data collection by Google Analytics by clicking on this link. An opt-out cookie will be set, which prevents future collection of your data when visiting this website. The opt-out cookie applies only to this browser and only to our website, and it is stored on your device. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you will need to set the opt-out cookie again.

Further information on data protection in connection with Google Analytics can be found in the Google Analytics Help (https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en).

Google AdWords Conversion Tracking

To statistically record the use of our website and evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our website, we also use Google AdWords Conversion Tracking. In this process, a cookie (see section 4) is set on your computer by Google AdWords if you arrived at our website via a Google advertisement.

These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If you visit certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that you clicked on the ad and were redirected to this page.

Each AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Therefore, cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking, like us. The AdWords customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that could personally identify users.

If you do not wish to participate in the tracking process, you can also decline the setting of a cookie required for this purpose—such as by adjusting your browser settings to generally disable the automatic setting of cookies. You can also disable cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain 'www.googleadservices.com.' Google's privacy notice on conversion tracking can be found here (https://services.google.com/sitestats/en.html).

Social Media Plug-ins

We use social plug-ins from social networks Facebook, Xing, Twitter, and Instagram on our website based on Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR/DSG to promote our company. The underlying advertising purpose is to be considered a legitimate interest in the sense of GDPR/DSG. The responsibility for a data protection-compliant operation lies with their respective providers. We integrate these plug-ins using the so-called two-click method to protect visitors to our website as effectively as possible.
